Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation performed on the face. It involves the use of a sterile surgical blade, known as a dermatome, that gently scrapes away the top layer of skin. Dermaplaing removes the outer most layer of skin and vellus hair to leave skin smooth, supple and ready for other treatments and makeup application. The dermatome is held against taut skin at a 45-degree angle and stroked in a manner similar to shaving. *Our free mentoring is extended to our dermaplane students, so you are able to end the course by asking our instructors any questions you may have. Certificate of Completion provided upon request.
This in-depth training describes the history of dermaplaning, as well as techniques and tools needed to succeed. You will be given step-by-step protocols as well as video demonstration.
