Overview
In the rapidly evolving field of aesthetic medicine, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements is crucial for providing exceptional patient care. This workshop is designed to equip aesthetic providers with the  knowledge and skills required to begin to utilize facial ultrasound in their practice.

Workshop Objectives
Understand the principles and applications of facial ultrasound in aesthetic medicine. Gain comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy relevant to ultrasound imaging. Learn the techniques for performing facial ultrasound examinations accurately. Interpret ultrasound images to assess facial structures and begin to differentiate between skin, fat, muscle, bone and vessels. Hands-on ultrasound-guided techniques for targeted delivery of aesthetic treatments.

Understand potential complications and safety considerations associated with facial ultrasound procedures. Establish protocols for incorporating facial ultrasound into aesthetic practice to optimize patient outcomes. Develop practical skills through hands-on training.

Workshop Format
This interactive workshop combines lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Participants will have access to state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and receive personalized guidance from experienced faculty members who specialize in facial ultrasound for the aesthetic provider.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Didactic Session
Expert faculty will deliver engaging lectures covering the principles, techniques, and clinical applications of facial ultrasound. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of relevant anatomy, image interpretation, and safety considerations.

Live Demonstration
Faculty experts will showcase real-time facial ultrasound scanning, demonstrating proper techniques, patient positioning, and probe manipulation. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and ask questions during these interactive sessions.

Hands-on Training
Participants will engage in hands-on practice using ultrasound equipment under the supervision of skilled instructors. They will learn how to perform facial ultrasound examinations, identify key structures, and interpret images. Additional emphasis will be given to ultrasound-guided injection techniques.

This workshop is designed for all registered MAAI Summit aesthetic providers, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and physician assistants, who are seeking to enhance their skills in facial ultrasound for aesthetic procedures.

FACULTY BIOS

ALFREDO M. FERREYRA

Alfredo earned his associate degree in Cardiovascular Technologist. After graduating, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 1998. He then learned Echocardiography during his Clinical rotation at Memorial Hospital Pembroke where he worked for 2 years. Alfredo started working at the Weston Cleveland clinic in 2001 in which he became proficient in Sonography and interventional procedures. He became the Director of the Ultrasound Department and accomplished the American College of Radiology accreditation for the Ultrasound Department. Alfredo was the sonographer in the clinical research study for cervical lymphadenopathy and a member for the liver and kidney transplant team at the Cleveland Clinic.

Alfredo moved to Queensland, Australia, in 2013 where he became versed in Musculoskeletal Sonography examinations and MSK guided needle Injections. He returned to Unites States in 2016 practicing and specializing in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. His passion for musculoskeletal sonography and regenerative medicine have inspire him to open his own company MSKORTHO to teach Physicians Musculoskeletal sonography to achieve accurate results for the patient and physician, especially when using Platelet Rich plasma and Autologous Stem cells. In 2019, Alfredo. Ferreyra introduced a revolutionary new approach to his teaching methodology by integrating aesthetics ultrasound into his courses. This innovation enabled him to help providers understand facial anatomy and how to identify fillers more accurately. With his in-depth knowledge of guided needle techniques, Alfredo Ferreyra has been instrumental in educating providers on how to dissolve fillers safely and effectively. In addition to his work as a teacher, Alfredo Ferreyra maintains an active clinical practice, where he provides patients with a wide range of
aesthetic services.

I am a passionate sonographer with over a decade of experience in the field. My specialization in facial ultrasound allows me to make a difference in the lives of both aesthetic providers and patients. Whether I am performing ultrasound services or educating others on how to use this technology, I see the value it brings into aesthetics, and I am dedicated to providing accurate and high-quality care and education.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
With over ll years of clinical experience as a sonographer, I am nationally qualified and registered through ARDMS to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Facial Sonographer
Specialized in facial ultrasound for the aesthetic providers. I perform aesthetic ultrasound examinations as well as train aesthetic providers how to incorporate ultrasound into their clinical practice. The training I provide is nationally accredited with 8 CE’s.
